| Llanelli Bowling Club is the oldest club in the Llanelli area, founded in 1906, and members play Flat Green Lawn Bowls in the Llanelli & District Bowling League (affiliated to the Welsh Bowling Association and Carmarthen County Bowling Association) and the Welsh Private Greens (Western Section) The Club also has a very active Midweek Section who play competitive Friendly Matches throughout the season. The Club welcomes enquiries from teams who intend visiting the area by way of Touring Games or just to arrange Friendly Matches New Members are always welcome LINKS

WPGBA Competitions The draw for the WPGBA Competition finals at POW Court this Saturday afternoon is: Llanelli LeagueSingles: Steve Lewis (Landore Social) v Phil Davies (Gowerton) (holder) Pairs: Alan Jackson & Alan Bowen (Llanelli) v Richard Smith & Tommy Handford (BP Llandarcy) Triples: Tony Banton, Roy Morse & Clive Randall (Llanelli) v Clive Banks, Gordon Trainor & Graham John (Corus) Fours: Gwyndaf Prosser, Len Pewsey, Mike Pugh & Ray Griffiths (Llanelli) (holders) v Terry Packington, Dai Davies, Roger Jones & John Nicholls (BP Llandarcy) Just two points at home to Carmarthen has assured us of relegation from the Premier Division this year WPGBA League A 12 point win away at Swansea on Saturday afternoon has assured us of retaining the West Section title. This was followed by 12 more points at Alcoa on Tuesday and a further 12 on Thursday at home to Bryncoch. With Corus not playing us our PGL West League season is complete with 25 played 22 won 1 drawn and 2 lost.We now look forward to the East v West final at Llanelli on Saturday 11th September commencing at 2.30pm CLUB INFORMATION

An unofficial Premier League Table, which is intended to reflect an up-to-the-minute situation, still appears on the Results Page TABLES HAVE BEEN UPDATED 1st September MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE The next Management Committee Meeting is yet to be notified. TEAM PHOTO & 2 WOOD SINGLES Weather permitting, the 2009 & 2010 Team Photos will be taken on Sunday 5th September at 1.00 pm. Dress is Blazer, Ties and Greys. This will be followed at 2.00pm by the Club Two Wood Singles Competition which is played on a Round Robin League basis and will be completed that afternoon. | |||
